The complete lyrics of Wardruna’s landmark Runaljod trilogy, collected in a single hardcover volume by the project’s creator, Einar Selvik (aka Kvitrafn) — founder of Wardruna and co-composer of the score for the television series Vikings.

Drawing on Norwegian, Old Norse, and Proto-Norse tongues, Selvik’s Runaljod trilogy — Gap Var Ginnunga (2009), Yggdrasil (2013), and Ragnarok (2016) — set Norse cultural and esoteric tradition to music, structured around the twenty-four runes of the Elder Futhark, with each of the three albums built around eight runes and their meanings. Recorded, engineered, and produced by Selvik himself at his own Fimbulljóð studio and in outdoor locations across Norway, the trilogy became one of the defining works of contemporary Nordic folk and neofolk music.

This 90-page hardcover presents the original lyrics in full alongside complete English translations, offering genuine insight into the runic and mythological framework underpinning the entire trilogy.

This is the original standalone lyrics-only edition, published in 2016 — predating the better-known 2019 “Trilogy Book + 3CD” reissue, which repackaged the same core content alongside all three albums on CD for the trilogy’s tenth anniversary.
