Description

Clavicula Nosferatu is the first English edition of the grimoire published in Portuguese as Liber Kam-Azoth. Its author is Phyrexia, a Brazilian practitioner initiated into several magical orders, including the Brazilian vampiric order Ordo Lunae Sanguinis. It is one of very few texts devoted to practical vampirism, and it guides the practitioner through the vampiric art from its foundations to its most advanced and complex rites.

The book is in four parts:

  • Shroud lays the groundwork: the Black Sun, the nature of energy and dark energy, astral projection, protective circles, the making and use of black mirrors, animating shadows, and bone amulets and talismans.
  • The Path of the Bat turns to the Mayan bat-god Camazotz and the House of Bats. It covers black alchemy, a nigredo invocation, the opening of the gates of Xibalba, and the sigils of Kam-Azoth.
  • Nigra Ecclesiae explores the Sophia Draculae, the gifts of Azi Dahaka and the Black Church.
  • Clavícvla Nosferatv, the heart of the book, is a full vampirology. It covers Lilith as the Grand Vampire, Apep the great devourer, Hekate and the incubus and succubus; blood, psychic and energy vampirism; techniques of energy draining, including the astral tentacle, the evil eye and draining by touch; vampiric philosophy and the predator mindset; litanies to Erzsébet Báthory and the Carpathian predator; a vampiric mass; and the rite of metamorphosis.

The book closes with a brief vampiric glossary and “Echoes of Wallachia”. It is a dark, practical compendium for anyone drawn to the vampiric current and the forces said to lie latent in the blood.
