Some general wear to the cloth. There are a couple of instances of pen marking inside the book, but generally this is a good copy

Avernus by Mary Bligh Bond. Oxford: Basil Blackwell. 1924 320 p

Very rare  Occult novel. “The author claims that she began creating automatic drawings.  She had never received any training but drew remarkable anatomically accurate depictions of the human form. But these drawings were far from human, strange ethereal forms of nature spirits and demons adorned the walls in the cottage on the Shepton Mallet road she shared with her father. Mary Bligh Bond recorded her psychic experiences in the book ‘Avernus’.”

Mary was the daughter of Frederick Bligh Bond, famed for his ‘psychic archaeology’ at Glastonbury Abbey

The book rarely appears on the market.
